Privacy Policy

Privacy policy includes the means and procedures our company manages your personal information. Its application is mandatory in order to collect your personal data. In the course of our business activity and the operation of our business we collect and process personal data from visitors, prospective visitors, associates, staff and others in order to be able, on the one hand, to provide excellent services to our guests and, on the other, to fulfil the obligations derived from our contracts and the law. Our Privacy Policy follows the requirements of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR) .

General

We collect and process personal data from visitors, associates and staff during our business activity and the operation of our company, in order to provide excellent services to our guests and to fulfil the obligations derived from our contracts and the law. The purpose is the process of the less possible personal data for the less possible time.

Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR)

  • Data Controller : The person (natural / legal) that determines the means and purpose of personal data processing.
  • Data Processor : The person who processes data on behalf of a data controller. A data controller decides the manner and purpose to be followed in order to to process the data, while data processors hold and process data, without having any responsibility or control over that data.
  • Data Protection Officer : The person that ensures, in an independent manner, that an organization applies the laws protecting individuals’ personal data.
  • Data subject : A person whose personal data is being collected, held or processed.
  • Processing Purposes : The process of a subject’s personal data in order to provide them with all the services and achieving the business purpose with security for their privacy.
  • GDPR Consent : Any freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of the data subject’s wishes by which they signify agreement to the processing of personal data relating to them.

You can make a booking by phone, by email, via our website or through our social media accounts (facebook, instagram). In any of these cases we collect the following data:

  • Name and Surname
  • Booking date
  • Type of boat
  • Type of cruise/rental
  • Address, region and zip code
  • Country
  • E-mail address
  • Special requirements

To make a reservation, you may be asked to provide some bank, credit or debit card account details.

Purpose : To provide your reservation and charge the total amount, the advance payment or a part of it.

Legal basis: The execution of the contract concluded for your reservation. The provision of data is mandatory as well as the requirement to provide the service and the security of the payment.

Regarding your reservation, if you acknowledge your specific consent for your credit or debit card data to be retained for other transactions as well, the legal basis for our processing your data will be your consent for this processing.

You may withdraw your consent at any time, considering this will not affect the legitimacy of consent-based use before it is withdrawn. The processing period of your credit or debit card data are solely for transaction purposes and only to authorized persons. Upon your departure from Royal Luxury Cruise, these data are not disclosed, and access to these data is avoided.

Your credit or debit card data are deleted within 12 months of the transaction if it is completed. In cases of your consent, your data are retained for as long as your credit card is valid.

Royal Luxury Cruise keeps a customer database. Each individual tab concerning a single customer. Personal data are recorded in this tab such as:

  • Name, Surname
  • Address, city, region and zip code
  • Country
  • Phone, email

Purpose : To manage customers’ personal information, to prepare the appropriate booking and preferences so that we are able to deliver the corresponding conveniences on time.

Legal basis :

  • The law requires the retention of data due to receipts and invoices issues, tax audits and municipal or police provisions (at least 90 days).
  • The legitimate interest of our company (2 years).
  • For the provision of our comapany services to allow invoices, bank payments and justification of charges in case of dispute.

Customers’ data are entered on the tab in order to ease future bookings and services, without the need of data re-entrance. You may withdraw your consent at any time, considering this will not affect the legitimacy of consent-based use before it is withdrawn.

Website Policy

In order to ensure our contact with you and for your best information, you may be asked to provide some information about you (name, e-mail address, etc.) to register. The personal data you declare on our site, are solely for the purpose of ensuring your information and the reservation and may not be used by any third party, without complying with the provisions of Law 2472/1997 on the protection of processing personal data.

Our website operates under the applicable Greek and European laws and securely stores personal information for the relevant period based on the general rules of personal information. Personal data held may be communicated to the competent authorities at its request and in accordance with applicable law.

The visitor has the right to information and objection, according with Articles 11 to 13 of Law 2472/1997. If you are not an adult before deciding whether to accept these terms and conditions or not, you should study and fully understand them under parental or guardian advisory. Acceptance of the Terms by the parent or guardian will be construed as acceptance of the terms and conditions on your behalf. If you invite your children to use the service, you agree to these terms and conditions on your behalf.

  • Personal Data : The navigation on our website takes place without introduction of personal information. Information and personal data need only be introduced if you are interested in information, booking or sending information services.
  • Reservation Information : Necessary information for reservations are the guest details and payment details (bank transfer / credit / debit card), while optional information is the personal information (address). In total, we ask for as much information as is needed for your direct and excellent service regarding the booking and the payment of your cruise/rental.

Recognizing the importance of securing your personal data and your electronic transactions, we take all necessary measures, with modern and advanced methods, to ensure your safety. All information related to your personal information is secure, confidential and guaranteed by the following methods:

  • Privacy: To ensure the confidentiality of data transmission, we use the encryption protocol SSL 256 bits.
  • Secure Access: Access to our systems (servers) is controlled by a firewall that allows the use of certain services by customers, while prohibiting access to systems and databases containing confidential information of the company.
  • Encryption: Our database systems decrypt the information they receive with the same key and then they process it. After this procedure, you will receive information by following the same encryption process. In each part of the site you enter personal information (password, addresses, phone numbers, credit cards, etc.) there is encryption.
  • Information Access: Only authorized employees have access to your data and only when necessary.
  • Customer Data: We do not disclose the details of customers and their transactions unless it has written permission from you or is required by a court or an authority decision.
  • Ensuring Privacy: If our website uses third parties to support their systems, confidentiality is guaranteed.
  • Request: You can request and correct all information held about you if you can justify the existence of a mistake.

If you sent us a message from the contact form of our website you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, phone and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year

Royal Luxury Cruise may communicate with you through social media, such as Facebook and Instagram. By clicking the “Like” and “Follow” buttons, Facebook users can subscribe to our Official Facebook page. By clicking again the “Like” button they can be deleted. Royal Luxuty Cruise may have access to your registered user profiles, however, it does not record or process them in its system.

Purpose : The purpose is to share and promote our company’s content through our page. Royal Luxury Cruise and the registered Facebook users share latest news, offers and media content such as photos or videos, in order to make our company familiar to the public and to promote our services.

Legal basis : Processing personal data relies upon the consent of the subject. Consent can be revoked by unsubscribing at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the legitimate processing that took place before the revocation. If the consent is revoked, the user will no longer receive notifications.

The processing period applies as long as the consent exists and is interrupted when it is revoked. No personal data are stored or processed.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, maps, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
